May Journal
The first signs of spring always seem to be the little cherry blossoms and the return of the hummingbirds. The May pattern has two hummingbirds, a Ruby-Throated and an Anna’s, among the cherry blossom branches.
The colors in this piece are red, green, light brown, white, pink, turquoise, gold and antique black. Because I make each piece entirely by hand, and the leather is a natural material that is hand-dyed, some variation is to be expected.
This journal fits books approximately 5.5x8 inches (large moleskine size), and has a snap closure. I will provide a filler book and you can refill it when you run out of space.
I start with a thick tooling leather and cut, brand, paint and dye it before covering it with a protective finish to keep the colors safe. This book has a snap closure.
