The Byzantine Messenger Bag

The very first piece in the Byzantine pattern was the handmade leather messenger bag, originally designed for my husband.  The pattern is subtle but still unique and edgy with the blend of the day of the dead sugar skull and the Japanese inspired flowers. The all black bag works beautifully for taking to the office in place of a breifcase, fusing your professional needs with a little bit of personal style. 

As with all Moxie and Oliver pieces the leather for this bag is a thick piece of tooling leather that is then cut, branded, painted and dyed by hand before a protective finish is applied. The sides are riveted by hand and the bag has silver hardware.  This bag comes in a smaller size (shown - 10.5" by 14.5" by 2.5") and a larger size (not shown - 14" by 17" by 4").  The smaller size is perfectly suited for a 13" Macbook, and the larger one works well for big laptops.  Each is fitted with a 46" adjustable strap.  Longer straps are available by request.
